Submit an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) Application

PLEASE NOTE THAT TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE FORM, YOU MUST HAVE :

  • A valid passport
  • A valid email address

    • Note that only one application can be submitted per person. For example, if you have a family of three people, you will need to complete and submit three separate forms.

    Important Reminders

    You annot apply for an eTA if you are :

  • A Canadian citizen or a dual citizen of Canada
  • A permanent resident of Canada
  • A U.S. citizen (However, legitimate U.S. permanent residents must apply for an eTA if traveling by air.)

    • If you are a legitimate U.S. permanent resident nd do not have a passport, you can apply for an eTA using the following documents :

  • A valid U.S. Refugee Travel Document (I-571)
  • A valid U.S. Re-entry Permit (I-327)

    • Answer a few questions to determine if you need an eTA, and you will be directed straight to the online form to submit your eTA application.
